I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. You will surely be missed as Chairman but your family must come first in these circumstances. You have done a sterling job as Chairman and I would like to thank you, not only for that but for our friendship over the years

As some of you are already aware I have today had to report some very bad personal news. My wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It is therefore with regret that I have resigned my position as Chairman of the association. The next 6 to 12 months will be a very testing time and I will need to prioritise the needs of my family.

I'm sure you will all understand my decision and I truly hope that we may meet up at some point and enjoy a day out.

All the very best to you all, stay safe.

Hello out there.

Me, Steve, John, and Ian joined the fun John had 14 on his way out not sure if he picked any more up, Steve and Ian had 12 a piece and I had 11, so some good numbers out there. Ian had his on the right of the boat ramp, I had a few there as well first thing, Steve took most of his on the road side with Myself and John doing the damage in the cage area. Caught on a variety of lines from a floater with Ian, I used an intermediate Steve a DI3 sink tip and John a DI3, so a bit of all sorts. John had a fish finder and said the fish were about 25 foot down then coming up and going down again.

The rest of the lads who were also out on the SKB social all caught think there was about 13 or 14 tubes and Richard said 75 fish were caught. The day beforeI not so good as conditions were poor.

A further stocking took place on Friday and this has seams to have woken them up.

On the 10th October the annual fishing for heroes day is on and would be great to see a few happy smiling faces out there so come along and support a great charity,  myself and Steve will be there.

So that's why Terry threw himself in the lake then ! Why bother with expensive vaccines if untreated reservoir water will do the trick Huh?

Seems like a good day was had by all who attended. Where are all these myriad of 'new' BFTA members who appear on Facebook who could have been there? I would have expected a bigger group of fishermen - surely not all are geriatric types frightened of the plague.

Like Dave C. I'm still a slightly nervous Boris prisoner with occasional outside parole trips allowed. Terry is a brave man going out and mixing with potential Leicester Covid carriers!?

Keep up the good work lads.
