The following are the results from Toft Newton. Older Members will (hopefully), spot that the format has changed to accomodate the new points scoring system agreed at the Barnsfold AGM at the end of last season.

14 BFTA members launched and fished the match. Many had to leave the water early because of the extremely windy conditions.

58 fish were caught and netted and several more lost either at the net or after being played for some time.  A rod average of 4.14  for the team was a very respectable result for the day.

Martin Mayers presented the biggest fish to be weighed  at 4lbs 8ozs. Gary Cragg had a nicer looking fish weighed at 4lbs 5ozs and Carl Ward one at 4lbs 2ozs - (he had also returned a bigger 5lbs plus fish). Phil Pickering had a pike around double figures early in the match.
