One week pull forward to Saturday 15th September - confirmed with Ifor at Thornton.

Can I drag the conversation back to Ravensthorpe? I was chatting to a guy who has Kayaked on a local reservoir in Daventry, (coarse fishing, Pike & Perch) and he told me they are happy to pay the £10.00 launch fee because they are not welcome on most waters, so when they get somewhere that will allow them they are willing to pay it. Does anybody know of other waters where they are welcome? Meanwhile, I'll be at Thornton, and Eyebrook, tubing for zero launch fee and 3 or 4 times a year I take a disabled mate out on a boat, used to be Ravo, but will now be Draycote now they have a wheely boat.

You can kayak at Toft but I don't think there's a launch fee

Up 'norf' Sweethope and the Northumbria Water waters which allow tubing all allow kayaking/canoe's with no launch fee.
Sweethope event confirmed.
Good if someone could forward contact details for Scaling Dam

Ravensthorpe have come back to us with a proposal for a F/T day.

£33.00 for a 1 fish C&R ticket
£40.00 for a 4 fish C&R ticket

Post if you're interested so that Darren can confirm.

Andre.

Just checked this wasn't posted on April 1st!

At 22 miles, Ravensthorpe is my nearest venue but for a further 14 miles there's Elinor . . . £22 including launch fee (£3!) for an OAP and that's 6 fish plus C&R.

Ravensthorpe's pricing is a joke.

Yes John, you have to add the £10.00 launch fee to these prices. It was the fact that their website did not mention the launch fee last year that prompted me to ring and check, when I was told "no launch fee" but when I turned up to fish it was "pay up the launch fee, or leave". Ive not been back since.

Tony,
From memory I think Stevie N spoke to Scaling Dam last year I'll see if I can get hold of him.

Sorry I've not been able to get out tubing so far this year. I have been busy with work and also doing a lot of Pike fly fishing.

I have paid my membership and will try to get along to some events later in the year.

Barnsfold will probably be the next one I can attend.

Cheers
