Reference Buzzerman's question:

Not too sure of the answer if they are Polar bears??!!! Haven't been to the Arctic sea ice, but David Attenborough films appear to show a distinct lack of arboreal fauna!! Wouldn't be too keen on meeting those Orca packs in a float tube either.

The meeting at Barnsfold 27/12/2018

A very good turn out 11 hardy fishermen (some hardier than others hope your poorly leg gets better soon Stevie)

We fished a 6 hour ticket c&r £15,     6 fished one lake and 5 the other and after a break for lunch we swapped over.

The weather was resonably mild for the time of year and the water was flat calm when we arrived but cold for those whose bits were a bit too close to the surface, Kevin and Brian were ok in there high floating tubes. It was also foggy and only got worse as the day went by, so I only saw a flock of ducks? (i think) when they came close enough for me to see.

The results were:- RIC 12 FISH, PAUL 11; MARK 8; KEN 7; STEVE 5: DOUGIE 4;MARTIN 2; BRIAN 2; DAVE C 2; KEVIN 1; JOHN 1. SO ALL THOSE TAKING PART CAUGHT FISH WHICH WAS GREAT, unfortuneately Martin had to leave at half time or i am sure he would have come higher on the leader board.

My thanks goes to the owner Frank and to Kenny for providing the very expensive cake £1 for two boxes the dearest ones on Bury market,

hope to see this kind of turn out for the comps. next year. nice to see Kevin again and he said he will try and attended some of the Ladybower comp. next year.

  cheers Lads
