Would anyone be  interested in a meet at Newplatt Lane this Saturday.
The price for a day ticket is £25.00 for two fish, If we get decent numbers I will try to obtain a group discount.
I am presuming we would meet in Knutsford for breakfast.

I can ensure you that there is  an excellent head of fish in the lake, it's under new management!

Cost is now for C/R is £20.00.  I went fishing there today and it was excellent.
There are a few lads coming from NW Nomads so should be a interesting day.

We are meeting for breakfast in Knutsford first if you want to join us.
I will check the post code tomorrow.
You probably know the Nomads they have fished with us at Ladybower.

The day started well when I met Brian and Mark in Knutsford for breakfast .Then we made our way to the lake at new platt Lane to meet the rest of lads who would be fishing with us. When we arrived the entrance of the fishery was open which  surprised me as I was the only one with the code and it's usually locked. It turned out that Andrew, the owner, had arrived early and had let the other lads in and had also brought a nice bottle of whiskey so they could have a dram before they started fishing and since the bottle was a third empty when we arrived they clearly enjoyed his hospitality! The group consisted of four lads from Northern Nomads and three
lads from BFTA. The weather was totally different from when I fished there two days previously, today it was generally cloudy with periods of hail, rain and wind!
Slow start to the fishing but then when the clouds  cleared most people started  to catch and over the next few hours the fishing was excellent, average size of fish was between 2 and 3 lbs. It was a most enjoyable day! Everyone caught and the Nomads are interested in repeating the experience!!!
