Sweethope has consistently been fishing really well so far this season. Whilst some catches have been substantial the majority of anglers practice catch and release.
I have arranged camping/mobile home/caravan parking on site a bbq after the competition with the opportunity of early morning fishing the following day if required.
There is now a toilet and shower block on site for the use of.
Should you require it I can arrange beer and sausages etc (at cost).
For those of you who fished the lough under the previous regime you will be in for a very pleasant surprise.
please pm me for catering requirements

reference catering requirements Tony B. Brian and me have booked b&b for Friday night someplace close to the venue and we will be heading home after the match so we won't be stopping for the bar-b-cue but thanks anyway, we are looking forward to the comp.

Thanks to all who have confirmed, I will bring charcoal, sausages & selection of local ales.
Fished today at Sweethope bright sun and windy managed to net a nice total.
For those travelling up norf  next week suggest take first turning off A1 after Scotch Corner (signposted Barton) follow road to Piercebridge then to A68.  This is a parallel route to A1.
If you which to visit a well stocked fly tying/fishing shop try the Anglers Lodge at Jubilee Lakes. This is signposted off the A68. If you were to take aforementioned short cut where the road joins A68 (T junction) turn right and immediate left follow lane for c1mile and you will come to jubilee lakes on right. Its signposted.
Any problems give me a ring 07810180999.
I will be at Sweethope on the Friday afternoon for those early arrivals .

No problem Martin, I expect to have several local tubers to be present which should boost numbers.
The lough currently holds more fish than at anytime during the tenure of the current tenants. There is also the potential of a stocking on Friday 'to liven the resident fish up'.
With light nights and warm days the fish tend to show early in the mornings sedge patterns regularly take fish. Later in the day I have been successful fishing Dabblers.
An article on the meeting will appear in Thursdays local paper (the Chronicle) who are keen to have any photos of fish being caught for next weeks angling column.
Please PM me for email address.

Tony,

Thank you to both yourself & Chris at the fishery for organising yesterday's competition. For those who couldn't attend this is a cracking venue, a little way to travel but easy access off of major roads so travel time wasn't as bad as first thought.

Nice to get some top of the water sport, the boobies & Barnoldswick nymphs stayed in the box this week ! Hoppers, Hares Ear and a traditional un-weighted Damsel did the damage.

Tony - re Sparton Bladders etc, Kev posted back in April, check items for sale board. If you want me to pick something up for you just let me know.

Andre.
